This position is for multiple high profile web application projects within the FSE section. These projects include ASP.NET MVC web applications with an Oracle Back End and Mainframe applications that have to be converted to the web using ASP.NET MVC while maintaining connectivity with DB2.
Project Duties include requirements analysis, design, web application development, testing, implementation and leading/mentoring a team in the use of ASP.NET MVC, AJAX, JQuery and JQuery UI.
Deliverables include architecture and design documentation, documentation that provides guidance for development to new developers, estimates for design and development and quality code developed on time.
This position is needed for a period of 3 years.
Hardware/Software Environment:
Web environment - Windows 2008 web/application Servers, ASP.NET using VB.NET and C#,
SQL Server, Active Directory, IIS 7.x, Oracle, DB2
Other tools - Microsoft Office Suite, Visio.
Description
The Family Support Enterprise Section supports various Human Services programs and enterprise applications.
The various Human Services programs that the section supports are
- Child Care Subsidy (WI Shares), Licensing, Regulation and Quality Rating
- WisconsinWorks - Program that helps eligible families with employment preparation services
- Benefit Recovery (Collections) - Collection of any overpayments for Wisconsin Shares (Child Care Subsidy and Food Share), Wisconsin Works, Medicaid and BadgerCare.
The Client Assistance for Reemployment and Economic Support (CARES) system is the State of Wisconsin's case management system for Work Programs (W-2), Child Care, Food Share and Medical Assistance programs. CARES determines program eligibility for families that apply for any of the aforementioned programs.
CARES was originally developed as a Mainframe based system with a DB2 database. Parts of CARES have been moved out of the Mainframe and are available as web applications. The Child Care Program administration has been moved to the web. The web applications continue to use the CARES DB2 database.
The Wisconsin Works and Benefit Recovery programs are administered using CARES.
