Responsibilities - Provides field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work across the company's enterprise.
- Performs field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work, pre-survey of construction packages, data preparation and documentation in reporting field results.
- Attends field meetings with company personnel, as well as government agencies and construction contractors.
- Tracks, monitors and updates databases or other work groups on job status.
- Prepares work requests, verifies as correct change orders and/or invoices, completes documentation on job progress or issues surrounding job, reviews all documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting.
SKILLSMust have working knowledge in underground utility construction, including manhole and conduit construction, as well as working knowledge of engineering prints and the ability to understand and interpret PUE and ROW recommendation. Knowledge of Outside Plant Safety and Procedures (GO95, GO128 and NEC as applicable) required. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills are needed. Must have previous C&E or outside I&M experience. Strong communication skills required.
