As Senior HR Manager, you will design and deliver talent management programs and initiatives that make Microsoft Silicon Valley a great place to work. This position manages 1 direct report and is based in Mountain View, California.
Divisions supported by MSV Central HR include: Online Services, Interactive Entertainment, Windows/Windows Live, Office, Skype, Research, Server and Tools.
This position requires strong program management and cross-group collaboration skills in order to deliver results within a complex cross-company environment. The successful candidate will have experience managing large scale programs in partnership with business leaders, HR centers of excellence and the line HR organization. HR management experience is preferred. Merger and Acquisition HR experience is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Line HR experience supporting large engineering programs
Data-driven yet agile approach to program design
Ability to understand, represent and integrate multiple business and HR perspectives
Business acumen to cut through complexity, drive simplicity and yield outcomes with strategic intent
Ability to deliver results working cross group with a diverse population and with a range of levels in the organization
Organizational agility and ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to change rapidly in response to business conditions
Strong group facilitation skills and executive presence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong relationship building/networking skills and ability to influence stakeholders
8+ years' experience in the HR discipline; people management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources/organizational development, or related field, or equivalent experience with MBA or Masters strongly preferred.
