Partner with IT and business teams to design and maintain the enterprise data model in a critical role supporting BI data models for an organization with 10,000+ employees and more than 5 million patient visits annually. Create/maintain robust, sustainable, scalable data warehouse/data mart data models and collaborate with BI Solution Architect to create data architecture strategy; partner with IT and business teams to create enterprise data model. Design and develop data models from conceptual to logical to physical.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Establish/document guidelines and standards for data architecture; design, direct, and execute changes to existing and new data models for data marts and data staging; maintain documentation.

- Analyze business requirements and generate deliverables (data models, data dictionary, source analysis, source to target maps) for specific projects.

- Provide support and technical guidance to Data Warehouse team; mentor and provide direction to team on data architecture best practices.

- Convert database designs into physical database schema objects; complete data modeling efforts for individual projects.

- Develop and execute test plans to check Data Warehouse data architecture technical performance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology with 5+ years in Business Intelligence and 3+ years in Netzza Applications; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

- 3+ years in Netzza applications OR deep experience with competing products (Oracle Exadata/Teradata, Sybase IQ, Vertica, Aster Data Systems, Greenplum)

- Extensive experience with Data Warehouse architectures, and data modeling techniques including normalized/de-normalized, star schemas, snowflakes.

- Experience creating and supporting complex, high volume data architecture; extensive experience with Data Warehouse life cycles and strong understanding of AGILE methodology.

- Extensive experience with data modeling tool to design/create conceptual, logical, and physical data models;

- Highly proficient in data warehouse tools and technologies including Microsoft SQL Server or other leading database platforms.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
