Sr Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation, White Box, Black Box Sr Quality Assurance Engineer If you are a Sr Quality Assurance Engineer who is proactive, and has the ability to stop the defect before it makes it into the code, please read on!
What you need for this position:
- 5+yrs Quality Assurance (Experienced with proactive quality process - aim to prevent defects - focused on the process used to make a product - making sure defects do not arise when the product is being developed)
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Quality theories and practices & core Quality
- Technical understanding of White Box vs. Black Box testing and its overall impact on a products quality
- Automation systems (such as HP Quality Center, Team Foundation Server, etc)
- Testing tools (such as Junit, Coded UI, Fiddler, Selenium, etc.)
- Experience working side by side with the Software Developers (understanding of the SDLC and Quality†s roles in it)
- Agile
- Cross platform testing (Windows, Linux, C++, Java)
- Communication skills - written and verbal
It is a plus if you have experience in:
- Software development, writing production code
- JIRA
- Quality certifications, or affiliation with ASQ or ASME
What you'll be doing:
- Evaluation of existing methods and systems of quality management (Test coverage, Test impact, Quality metrics, Root cause investigation)
- Implementation of Software Testing strategies including the execution of System, Integration, and Unit testing to fulfill the quality requirements on our products
- Implement strategic directions for the entire Quality team including Testers, Analysts, and Engineers
- Participate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Work with other development areas to improve fault prevention higher up the development stream
