Responsibilities

Supports Vice President, Business Analysis in administrative and office management duties. Ensures office activities are run according to schedule (monthly, quarterly, etc.) and complies with company policies (T&E, travel, payables, etc.).

Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Significant project work throughout the year which includes offsite meeting arrangements, system testing, event materials and supply orders. Wide range of contacts across business units and geographies, including board members and executive staff.

Scope and Impact
- Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to others.
- Errors could impact department or project and may increase costs or cause delays.
- Responsible for proper handling of all expense reports, invoice processing and related financial transactions.
- Receives very minimal instruction.
- May offer guidance and training to lower level employees.
- Primary functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- May have a limited role in decision-making regarding matters of significance related to business operations, as defined by the DOL.
- Responsible for representing Americas Finance Center Team in coordination of efforts with administrative staff at Pearson plc headquarters in London
- Responsible for working with finance team staff across the world

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree is typical
- 6+ years of experience.
- Will have appropriate education, experience, and professional training
- Applies job skills and refers to company policies and procedures to complete a range of administrative tasks.
- May make and/or implement recommendations to adapt procedures and processes to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
- Proficient computer skills including MSOffice suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe product suite. Advanced software skills such as mail merges, pivot tables and slide transitions required. Knowledge of Visio and MS Project a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and produce results
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone
- Ability to type on a computer keyboard
