Description:

SAIC (future Leidos) is looking for a Deputy Project Manager in Morgan City, LA. This position will serve as the Deputy for the South Oil Maintenance Boat production program at Swift Ships. The Deputy Project Manager is responsible for managing the production process in support of the Project Manager. Responsible to the Swift PM for efficient production operations while managing within the constraints of scope, quality, schedule, and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet production needs. Ensure all program requirements and/or objectives are properly documented vigorously pursued. This position is responsible for coordinating all activity integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements. Liaise with the production and supply staff. Establish appropriate Success Indicators and other early warning measures. Recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost. Track and report progress against baseline and forecast final targets. Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in program parameters while developing revised plans to meet customer and company objectives.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience: 5 years equivalent experience in ship building industry.
