The Global Marketing Director of Global Agencies and Accounts (GAA) for A&O plays a key role on the leadership team of the GAA team. GAA is responsible for driving strategic global relationships with top 6 media holding groups including Publicis, WPP, IPG, Omnicom, Aegis, and Havas as well as key accounts including Unilever, P&G and Coke. The team are responsible for growing market share through the development and execution of key strategic initiatives to drive revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction.
The GAA Marketing team are responsible for the creation and implementation of programmes that evangelize Microsoft's vision, thought leadership and innovation, educate our partners and customers to accelerate adoption of the Microsoft value propositions and build impactful and effective sales engagement opportunities that drive profitable sales conversations.
The Director, works directly with the brand team, research and insights team and the business group leadership team to translate the business strategies into marketing objectives, functional promotional strategies and tactics. As the Brand team will use this knowledge to build and tell our story, the GAA Marketing team will show our story. This team will position, develop and execute value-added programs including, but not limited to external communications, event marketing, educational programmes and technology experiences.
Using their in-depth knowledge of the global online advertising industry, the Microsoft Advertising business and product portfolio the GAA marketing lead will create and execute the strategic marketing plan for the GAA team.
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader in global, international or regional business to business marketing, used to managing complex projects and people across multiple time zones. Success in this role will require strong strategic leadership, excellent communication and cross group collaboration skills, a relentless drive for results and passion for leading and developing a world class team of global marketers.
Key Deliverables:
REVENUE: Drive incremental growth and share from GAA:
Develop tailored GAA marketing strategy and plan with priority deliverables for each tier 1 media agency and advertiser aligned to the sales account plans and objectives
Track and report impact of all GAA marketing initiatives to measure ROI, share best practices and learnings with wider global marketing community to drive consistency, efficiency and maximize effectiveness across the globe.
INCREASE SHARE OF MIND: Educate and evangelize the Microsoft Advertising value proposition among the GAA customers and the GAA Team.
Increase customer knowledge of digital advertising to drive up share online brand spend through the continued development, marketing and execution of scalable education programmes, both online and offline, that builds understanding of the Microsoft Advertising offering
Deliver a regular rhythm of customer communications for GAA customers that drives awareness of the latest value propositions, sales and marketing initiatives
Partner with the Business Group, Research and Insights and Sales Solutions Specialist teams to deliver effective GTM materials that are tailored to the specific needs of the GAA Sales team and their customers.
EXCITE, INPSIRE & ENGAGE GAA CUSTOMERS: build deeper and more meaningful engagement with GAA Customers and the Advertising industry that drives positive business impact.
Build global customer contact, engagement strategy and framework that targets key tiers of contacts (CXO to planner/buyer or brand manager) with content at key times within the year eg Customer Advisory Board, EBC, Ignite, Digital Digest to Online Academy
Build out a global events strategy and plan to increase our presence and deepen customer engagement at targeted marquee industry events for key markets and verticals including Ad Week, CES and Cannes
Design and host premium industry leading events eg Imagine Redmond & London that excite and inspire our customers from priority markets about the Microsoft vision and innovation.
Deliver an award winning stand out Cannes experience that changes industry perception & ignites high value sales conversations
Build immersive evangelization & engagement program for Microsoft's devices, services and advertising solutions
Operational Excellence: Manage A&O ROB, processes and communications
Manage timely contribution to A&O ROB planning, reporting and scorecards
Rigorous management, accurate and timely reporting of marketing, vendor and T&E budgets and forecasts
Active leader and participant in WW Global Marketing Leads community working closely with the BG to define global marketing strategy, plans and programs
