Established real estate developer/builder with a specialty in mixed-income housing seeks an experienced IT professional to join our team.  As the IT Help Desk Manager, you will supervise/coordinate activities and operations of technical support/help desk department and staff. You will also provide oversight of the day-to-day operations. Ideal candidate must be committed to excellence and high standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes, directs and monitors daily activities of help desk staff and provide oversight of the day-to day activities of IT department.
  • Distributes workload to help desk team; monitors and reviews performance.
  • Performs help desk staff duties as needed.
  • Assists in the implementation and installation of new remote offices.
  • Monitors service calls to observe help desk staff's demeanor, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies; provides feedback as needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes productivity of help desk staff; generates reports based on analysis.
  • Fields questions from help desk staff and clients; recommends solutions to customer/end user issues.
  • Compiles status and work-volume reports for management.
  • Maintains records of help desk requests and complaints.
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of computer product information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • 3-5 years of IT management experience along with supervising helpdesk teams. Experience in a Real Estate Development/Property Management environment is a definite plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate subordinates
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business units.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Manage time and workload juggling multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
  • Proficiency in Windows XP and 7 Pro, MS Office 2003, 2010, Windows Server 2003/2008, -Toshiba Copiers/scanners/printers, LAN/WAN, VPNs, WiFi, 3G/4G, Lenovo PCs, HP/Brother printers, IBM System X Servers, Backup Systems, Avaya IP Office Phone Systems, BlackBerry-IPhones-MDMs.
  • Proficiency in Sage Timberline and Yardi Voyager are definite pluses.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field
  • Windows and Exchange Server Certifications preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel 20-40% of the time to Job Sites, and other offices in the NY Metro Area. Valid Driver's License and own automobile required. Authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed.
