Member of the forecasting function owning the entire forecast for all of Pepsico Worldwide Flavours concentrate and bag-in-boxes produced within the U.S and Canada.This position is a function of the North America Supply Chain Department and will work with two other Sr. Forecast Analysts.This position is an individual contributor role responsible for the Front End bottler sales forecasting enabling the optimization of production, inventory, & distribution throughout the entire Pepsi Concentrate Supply Chain.
This position directly supports over 3 billion 8oz case equivalents annually.
- Own and execute the final demand Concentrate Sales forecasting function within our current Prevail system. (Managing all Concentrate forecasts as it relates to marketing initiatives, packaging, trade promotions, & seasonality.)
- Establish and implement pipeline fill production forecasts for all new Carbonated and Non-Carbonated product launches. Thus, ensuring the correct balance between having zero backorders at time of launch while minimizing the opportunity of product expirations.
- Manage all of the sales forecasting generations for all Pepsi products. (This includes all new product launches as planned in AOP as well as all discontinued products)
- Manage all expired and obsolete inventory for hazardous waste disposal in all U.S. distribution centers, ensuring proper disposal and accounting practices are adhered to. Responsible for leading expiration analysis and implementing process improvements to minimize future expirations.
Qualifications:
- Perform reliable analysis and recommend potential technical improvements to Supply Chain Sr. Management resulting in improved forecasting strategy.
- Drive a continuous forecasting improvement agenda focusing on optimal business processes and increasing forecasting accuracy throughout the BU. (Managing over 1200 SKU Operation combinations throughout the U.S. and Canadian markets)
- Educate Sr. Demand Planners on the technical and process aspects of the position to collectively maintain optimal levels of inventory while maximizing customer service levels.
- Identify and root cause forecast error below targets. Develop and implement action plan/process change for improvement.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in inventory management, demand forecasting, & demand planning applications, (5+ years). Preferred experience within the food industry with exposure to perishable products.
- Works well with minimal supervision.
- Team Player with demonstrated proven success working within own department and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills - Working knowledge of statistical modelling techniques, strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- Savvy negotiation skills - Uses informal networks to influence and deliver initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with cross functional teams across multiple businesses. (ie warehouses/plants/3rd party providers..)
- APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) a plus.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, Access, and Word
- Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time.
- Bachelor's Degree in business
