IT Cyber Security Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT Cyber Security Analyst to join our client in Southport, NC.

Job Responsibilities:
- IT Cyber Security Analyst primary focus is to support digital process systems and programs.
- IT Cyber Security Analyst will complete Application Development & Maintenance, System Architecture, Computer Engineering, and other Digital Infrastructure support functions.
- Work independently on tasks/projects with limited supervision; works well on a team and is comfortable requesting guidance for unusual issues, identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action for resolution, possesses and applies knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
- IT Cyber Security Analyst Is expected to become competent in duties within a short timeframe.
- Providing Cyber Security support for the Clients stations.
- Maintaining and supporting the Portable Media and Device cyber security program
- Configuration and monitoring of network and component intrusion prevention systems
- Support incident response to cyber events
- Development and maintenance of cyber security documentation to ensure integrity of computer systems and conformance with the Plant Operating License, Technical Specifications and the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program
- Provide input to (CSAT) meetings as requested
- Assist Maintenance and Engineering staff with Cyber Security program requirements
- Provide support to Digital Process Systems team as directed to support Nuclear fleet projects and initiatives

Job Qualifications:
- IT Cyber Security Analyst with a Bachelor's degree and two to three (2-3) years like-work experience, or combination of education and like-work experience totaling six (6) plus years may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Familiar with plant committed programs including Emergency Response Organization, Self-Evaluation Program and plant outages.
- Position requires strong inter-personal and communication skills written and verbal.
- Requires a strong technical background and familiarity with desktop and server security tools including virus management software.
- Working knowledge of networking including TCP/IP and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services.
- Working knowledge of LAN technologies and topologies. Candidate must have a working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008; Windows XP; Windows 7; Linux; Hyper-V; Ubuntu; and VMware.
- The position will require Engineering training as well as position specific qualification training.
- Position requires the ability to work independently, must be able to determine work priorities and obtain resolution to items with minimal oversight.
- Position may require travel to any nuclear facility in the Carolinas and Florida to support project work.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Four (4) year degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline or six (6) years of demonstrated IT competency or military experience strongly preferred. In addition, five (5) or more year's relevant experience within the nuclear environment is also strongly preferred.
- Previous nuclear experience and familiarity with NEI 08-09, NEI 10-04, NEI 10-08, and NIST 800-53 is desirable.
