Role Summary:

This position is within HARMAN's Lifestyle Division, headquartered in Northridge, CA. This is an entry level position (ie recent graduate) with full exposure to the finance/accounting function within a publicly traded global company.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Calculate and record monthly journal entries - cash, payroll, overhead expenses, accruals and allocations.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual corporate financial reporting
- Provide monthly account reconciliation and analysis for balance sheet accounts
- Liaison with financial shared services center
- Liaison with contacts at other business units
- Perform financial month-end close process for the business unit.
- Participate in driving process improvements.
- Forecasts accurate and timely cash flow projections.
- Performs ad hoc projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal and organizational skills.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities without loss of accuracy or time
- Strong willingness to grow
- Detail oriented
- Team player

Desired Characteristics:
- CPA
- SAP
- General knowledge of budgeting, cash management and financial analysis processes

- Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA
