IT Business Analyst - CONTRACT

Major business based in London in looking for a calibre IT Business Analyst for immediate start to work on a 6 month project. The role is based in the City.

Essential skills:

• Extensive Business Analysis skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, including senior management
• Proven involvement in continuously improving business analysis processes and implementing best practices, using established frameworks such as CMMI
• The ability to develop and foster good working relationships with stakeholders, and build long-term working partnerships
• Excellent facilitation skills with proven experience of facilitating workshops
• Good presentation skills with proven experience of having presented to small, medium and large audiences
• Good organisational & negotiation skills
• Excellent Knowledge of UML/UML2
• Experience of using Rational Unified Process (RUP) for Business Analysis
• Working knowledge of Business Process modelling and Activity modelling using BPMN & UML
• Previous experience on Process Improvement projects involving changes to organisation, processes, people and technology
• Experience of project managing small to medium size projects, with working knowledge of Prince II project management practices, preferably with a Practitioner qualification

Day to day role:
Your role as IT Business Analyst will be extremely varied but will include working directly with the business on capturing requirements, working closely with developers/QA/testers, documenting requirements, working on feasibility studies and also process improvements. It is important for you to have a strategic perspective on Business Analysis not just a technical perspective.

Rate: £250 to £300 per day
