Description:

The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for an Oracle Database Administrator.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Candidate must have 10 years' experience as an Oracle Database Administrator. The candidate must possess a good understanding of Oracle database, related utilities and tools. The candidate will need an understanding of physical database design, Oracle operating system, performance tuning and monitoring. The candidate needs an understanding of all Oracle backup and recovery, security management, Oracle resource management and data integrity. Must have demonstrated experience with code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. The candidate will work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required.

Required experience includes:

- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products

- Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products

- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures

- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)

- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring

- Perform application tuning and performance monitoring

- Setup and maintain documentation and standards

- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)

- Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams

- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support

Qualifications:

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Certified Oracle DBA

- Oracle EBS DBA experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

At least fifteen years providing and performing Enterprise Engineering, Business Analytics, Financial Management Solutions, Customer Relationship Management Solutions, Systems Integration Business Process Re-Engineering and Application Development are needed. Candidate must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction only.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline is required. Eight (8) years of relevant experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
