Performance Improvement Consulting Manager - Omaha, NE

McGladrey's growing Performance Improvement consulting practice is looking for an experienced consultant with strong business transformation leadership skills to help spearhead growth in the Omaha/Lincoln, NE region. You will be able to draw from your experience and knowledge to help clients improve their business by providing services such as Business Process Transformation, Process Improvement, Project and Change Management, Post-merger Integration and Profitability Improvement consulting services. This practice line is exciting, growing and offers tremendous career opportunities.

Responsibilities will include direct client service roles serving key clients' business transformation needs as well as spearheading growth opportunities for expanding our practice within the region. Engagements require experience in working across financial accounting, IT and other operational functional areas. All engagements require process analysis, project management, strong communications and change management skills, and the ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams. All engagements involve the analysis, development and documentation of improvement opportunities, and may include implementation and training components. Work will primarily be performed at client locations, but can vary by project, client, and industry.

Position Responsibilities:

* Direct involvement in managing and implementing strategic transformation and operational improvement initiatives for our clients.
* Working with our clients' senior leadership team on project management and reporting, including analysis and communication of financial and operational data for decision-making and strategic planning.
* Planning and coordinating multiple presentations, creating presentation materials and disseminating information to executives and outside vendors.
* Assessing change readiness, creating and managing change management plans, developing and executing communication plans, defining roles and responsibilities and measuring departmental impact.
* Meeting billing and collection goals for assigned clients.
* Acting as a performance advisor and mentor for assigned staff.

Position requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing or other related field.
* 8+ years prior consulting experience working as senior level business transformation project management role in the financial services industry.
* Demonstrated strategic business development and relationship building skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
* Strong financial and business acumen.
* Solid critical thinking skills including the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and resolve problems.
* Must be a team player; demonstrate attention to detail and problem solving skills; able to work independently.
* Willingness and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

* Significant insurance industry experience
* MBA
* Project Management Professional Certification
