INTRODUCTION
Hasbro's Integrated Play development team has been set up to create new and exciting play patterns that fuse physical and digital play together to create new ways to engage kids of all ages in immersive brand focused experiences.

The Integrated Play team is developing both interactive content-driven products and connected mobile software (apps/games) that are moving the company forward into this exciting new era of connected toys and games.

ROLE

Reporting to the Technical Production Manager within Integrated Play's cross-functional team the UX Designer will own the high-level design of the interactive flow, data architecture, and UI design for all Hasbro's Integrated-Play experiences.

The role will see the individual conceptualizing, designing and prototyping the holistic architecture of the user experience for both physical and digital components to ensure that, combined, they deliver one joyful, intuitive, expansive and engaging experience that connects a consumer with a brand on a deep emotional level.

This technically minded creative will architect the total user experience collaborating with producer, brand leader, artist, designers and engineers to translate high-level requirements into frameworks that can be easily communicated visually with internal project stakeholders, senior management and external developers.

The UX designer will lead collaborative design initiatives, instigate user research, lead ideation sessions, lay-out concept sketches, build/program rapid prototypes, craft user stories, create experience game-flows and map out information architecture. Additionally they will be expected to build usability models and conduct frequent, iterative usability testing to prove theories and refine flow in parallel with development.

Constantly focusing on the user (the constantly connected kid) and how they expect to move through games, worlds, functions and applications seamlessly this role will form, maintain and evolve design standards for Hasbro's connected experiences moving forward.

EXPERIENCE

- 3+ Years of UX game development experience, in either web, console or mobile gaming space.
- Experience in gameplay Scripting and preferably, in programming languages.

EDUCATION

- Bachelors Degree in Game Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Digital Media Design or related discipline.
- Additional game design qualifications considered a bonus.

- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in user experience & interaction design.

- Ability to communicate design from both the user and brand perspective.

- Passionate, creative problem solver

- Strong written, visual & oral communication skills.

- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.

- Be able to shift course and iterate in tight time-frames

- Proficient in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite). 3D modelling a plus

- Basic programming skills for prototyping purposes.

- Consumer Observation and understanding and ability to translate into theory.

- Competitive & Trend Analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Primary ownership of wireframes and information architecture map
- Observe user testing and field test results to validate design and experience
- Champion User Experience Design, mentoring peers, stakeholders and establishing standards
