SAP ABAP Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SAP ABAP Developer to join our client in Allentown, PA. This temporary/contract position is for the duration of approximately five to six (5-6) months.

Job Overview:
- This position is a Skill level II with four to six (4-6) years of experience

Job Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for development of SAP applications and interfaces.
- The contractor will be part of a development team and will be required to work with functional and technical analysts to write technical specifications and code from functional specifications, unit test that code and diagnose and implement fixes as needed.
- The contractor will be expected to work independently, with a minimal amount of guidance from technical leads, to successfully create required new programs and troubleshoot issues on already developed programs, following Company standards and best practices.
- Write technical specifications from provided functional specifications, business requirements and high level technical architecture design.
- Work with technical leads to create and evaluate proof-of-concepts.
- Create new applications using ABAP/SAP technologies.
- Create test data, unit test new applications and work with functional team to resolve functional unit testing issues.
- Diagnose and fix problems in existing applications.
- Performance tune code.
- Work with data integration teams to create and test interfaces.
- Work in both traditional (waterfall) and agile development environments.
- Work with diverse offshore and onsite development teams.

Job Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or in a related technical discipline (eg, Engineering or Science).
- Four (4) plus years experience in hands-on SAP application development.
- Basic understanding of SAP ECC's functional areas, and SAP's portfolio of products.
- Experience with RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms) components of SAP development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or detailed specifications.
- Flexibility to work with changing requirements and approaches.
- Ability work on multiple objects concurrently.
- Knowledge of SAP ABAP best practices and approaches.
- Eligible for overtime with preapproval from the manager.
