Requisition ID: 22092BR Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner/HR Manager Division: MedSurg Ops Business Unit: Sustainability Solutions Business Function: Human Resources/Recruiting Business Sub Function: General/Other: Human Resources Country: United States State: AZ City: Phoenix Shift: 1st Job Description: The HR Partner will acts as a coach and mentor to the Manufacturing client group with an employee base of 100 plus. Drives employee engagement and executes the HR strategy for the year including Talent Reviews, Common Annual Review and Performance Improvement Plans. Coordinates and administers recruitment of exempt and non-exempt employees, new hire training, investigations, and terminations as necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, develops and administers various human resource plans, personnel policies/procedures, assist in maintenance of employee handbook on policies/procedures.
-Assists as necessary in new hire processing to include orientations; offer letters, completion of new-hire forms and legally required work authorization process, explanation of company policies and procedures, and oversees the preparation of employee ID and door entry badges.
- Ensure all internal announcements are prepared for New Hires and Terminations.
- Responsible for the recruitment of Non-Exempt employees, both internal and external through temporary agency's. Recruitment process includes posting of positions for candidates; manage application collection, review, and processing; assist in interview process when requested or necessary; follow-up, as needed. This is done in cooperation with the supervisors/managers of the positions.
- Assist in employee counseling notices or sessions, when needed, and acts as an advocate for both employee and supervisor for the teams that the HR Genrealist supports.
- Provide one-on-one coaching to employees upon their request or as part of a Performance Improvement Plan.
- Assists in conducting investigations regarding employee relations' situations and on-the-job injuries.
- Consults with employees who are leaving or preparing to leave and completes all required termination forms and internal termination announcements.
- Assists with Employee Events by organizing employee activities, provides optimum use of company recreation funds, and by assisting in the administration of employee reward programs.
- Enters and maintains Human Resources related data (eg new hire, training, personal, reviews) into the HRIS and other internal database systems including monitoring the Badge Access System.
- Assists employees with problem resolution, interprets human resources policies and procedures.
- Maintains and creates HR forms.
- Maintains and manages job description process including the posting of updates into SharePoint.
- Act as resource for staff at all levels for HR related issues.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of professional Human Resources/Employee Relations administration; PHR a plus.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, Publisher.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, rules, regulations, including COBRA, FMLA and HIPAA.
- Training presentation and evaluation principles; principles of Common Annual Review (CAR) and salary adjustment.
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employees, general public; ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information; ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of employees and management; ability to find and communicate accurate information concerning process, policies and procedures to employees and management. Qualifications/Work Experience: Percent Travel Required: 0%
