Will play key leadership role in designing and executing a strategy that leverages all relevant digital assets and channels to: 1) tell the PepsiCo Corporate story, 2) support PepsiCo's business objectives, and 3) support PepsiCo's strategic global corporate communications initiatives. This strategy will be designed to effectively communicate to the entire stakeholder audience (including 3rd parties).
The digital leader will report to the Senior Director of Digital Media, and work closely with Brand leads, Investor Relations, Legal, and other business partners in order to execute the digital strategy.
- Key leader of PepsiCo's global corporate communications digital media strategy, designed to create a competitive advantage for PepsiCo by increasing reach to key stakeholder audiences, both internally and externally (including financial, media, employees, customers and other opinion leaders).
- The strategy includes how to cultivate relationships, and create proactive two-way dialogue with key influencers in the digital world. The objective is to use digital assets and outreach to reach these key constituents to connect via a set of shared values, and in the process educate them on our business, our strategy, our performance and our products.
- Ensure a universal, consistent, global message about PepsiCo is communicated via all existing and emerging digital channels including social, web, mobile, etc.
- Develop and oversee the Company's content creation and distribution strategy.
- Manage pepsico.com and affiliated web site strategy
- Oversee PEP social channel management (eg Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.).
- Identify and develop social content from PepsiCo - and develop new channels of communication internally and externally.
- Partner with Global Internal Communications to ensure PepsiCo.com and MyPepsiCo.com are appropriately coordinated and linked.
- Provide support and best practices for digital teams across PepsiCo's global regions.
- Manage agency and other partners to execute digital programs flawlessly.
- Create and oversee digital event strategy and programming working with business units (eg South by Southwest).
Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of, experience in, and track record of success with winning web, social and mobile initiatives.
- Must have 8+ years' experience in Marketing, IT and/or Communications.
- Minimum 5 years interactive and digital web experience; diverse digital channel experience.
- Experience working with global teams.
- Knowledge of cutting edge technology and communication platforms.
- Proven results working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
- Able to thrive and lead in a "non-traditional," entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to quickly ramp up, evaluate a situation, form an action plan and rally the team.
- Creative problem solving and a "can do" attitude are a must.
- Must be able to meet Real Time deadlines, set project budgets, and control project quality.
- In-depth knowledge of and passion for all forms of media.
- Must be willing and able to travel 15% of the time.
