The Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information and Services (MSCIS) Finance team supports a broad business scope including Surface, Xbox, Kinect, Xbox Accessories, PC peripherals & Software replication. MSCIS is responsible for the manufacturing and delivery of all of Microsoft's physical products. The environment is dynamic and innovative, where the finance team has to be flexible & deeply integrated with the business.
MSCIS Finance team is looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm to take on a high impact role as a Finance Manager focused on our Reverse Logistics within the Global Supply Chain business. As we expand our assortment of products - the financial scope & complexity of our Inventory reserves management is increasing. This role will specifically support reverse logistics operations, inventory excess & obsolescence accounting/controllership and also provide financial support for the expansion of the MS Stores business. We are looking for candidates with the passion to drive such improvements across the whole organization - the impact would be across both finance and our operations partners.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing analysis and business group support, plus help in identifying and solving control problems and issues.
- Monthly reporting on operational costs & analysis for the business
- Controllership for our inventory reserves, ensuring we are compliant with MS Policy
- Works with EOC and APOC leads to consolidation of WW Inventory Reserves for management reporting.
- Constantly look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities and reporting, for example, through automation and detailed analytics.
- Report and develop analysis to support management in understanding the inventory reserves and excess and obsolete and cost drivers, plus opportunities for efficacies.
- Financial support of the supply chain function related to the expansion of the MS Stores business. MSCIS is responsible for the Stores supply chain WW.
- Ad hoc support for the reverse logistics operation - this may involve accounting & close support, plus reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance; MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
- 5+ years of demonstrated work experience ideally in a similar supply chain role, covering accounting, financial and management reporting
- Advanced skills in core Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of MS Systems such as MS Sales preferred.
