Visual and User Interaction Designer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Visual Interaction Designer to join our client in Redmond, WA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop high-level experience concepts that drive to a combination of business goals, user objectives, and brand consistency.
- Explore, design, and specify visual and interaction solutions for mobile devices, tablets, and web that are functional, easy-to-use, and fun - all at the same time.
- Explore, invent, and specify content strategies, information architecture, and user flows for a wide range of product experiences - from music to navigation to account management.
- Collaborate and problem-solve with product managers, technologists, strategists, and other designers.
- Create and produce both high level and detailed design documentation to represent layouts, navigation, interactions, and user flows (eg, wireframes, mockups, comps, conceptual diagrams, and style guides).
- Prepare presentations and visualization tools to tell the stories of products to internal clients and external vendors.
- Provide creative direction and brand interpretation for internal and external stakeholders, while helping to communicate the value of design thinking, user centric design, and design process.
- Work with project teams and creative leads to determine design needs and how to meet them.

Job Qualifications:
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience as a visual or interaction designer, user experience designer, or similar role.
- Two to four (2 - 4) years experience in a creative lead role working with internal stakeholders or design agencies.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a range of product and interactive design work.
- Excellent understanding and grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction and visual design concepts, and how they are applied to mobile and web products.
- Understanding of technologies used to build web and mobile products (HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.).
- Understanding of mobile UX is a plus.
