Our client is the Northwest's signature software corporation seeking a candidate to assist with the onboarding of new technologies layers in order to provide better Business Intelligence to teams and partners.
The current server monitoring environment is based on Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 platform. You will assist with migration to the next generation, Systems Center Operations Manager 2012. This upgrade brings a number of new features; one key element for Service Operations will be Application Performance Monitoring (APM). APM provides the capability to monitor Internet Information Services (IIS)-hosted.NET applications from server- and client-side perspectives to get details about application performance and reliability.
An experienced SCOM Engineer's responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating OEM to transition to the new SCOM platform
- Ensuring there is no impact to existing monitoring and a seamless cutover to SCOM 2012 is completed
- Bringing a level expertise to design an effective migration strategy
- Bringing a high level of SCOM experience to identify and drive enhancements into the OEM SCOM implementation empowering Operations to be effective with their use of SCOM in supporting OEM applications
