Cost Analyst/Project Scheduler

Job Summary:

Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and should be able to work with multiple project managers and multiple projects simultaneously.  Candidate will develop and track budgets and project plans, monitor schedule and performance progress, explain cost and schedule variances, establish and prepare estimates at completion, update and status schedules and budgets, create workaround plans to recover variances and mitigate risks.  Candidate will also develop, validate and submit client invoices, monitor vendor and internal expenses and prepare Project financial reports.  Candidate will work closely with both Project Managers and Accounting department to maintain auditable Project financial records and to maximize Labor Resource pool usage.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree from reputable university in business, accounting, finance, economics or engineering, plus minimum 3 years cost/scheduling experience with automated tools such as Primavera, Open Plan, Cobra, Deltek and/or MS Project. Proficiency required in MS Project and Excel.  Must possess an energetic, pro-active and self-starting work ethic.

Additional Desired Requirements:

Experience with Microframe Project Manager (MPM) and/or Microsoft Project Server a plus.  Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Control background a plus. Experience in scheduling and controlling software development projects a plus.
