Jr. Java Developer

We are seeking a Junior Level Java Developer who is available for an immediate contract-based position. 
Candidates will enhance and build new features to the medical software for the purpose of  complying with government guidelines. This position will report directly to the Director.

Requirements: The applicant will possess the following requirements (required unless noted otherwise): 

This is a full time contract position for 6 months 

• Must have 3 years experience in Java, Java hibernate, Java swing UI using Eclipse
• Must have experience in Database query such as T-SQL and experienced in MySQL
• Experience in medical software is a plus
• Must be knowledgeable in XML and HL7 communication standards

The project encompasses the following: 

• Secure Communication of health information between systems using specific communication standards such as XML and HL7. 
• Enhancements to security and encryption methods to comply with government regulations and specific standards. 
• Addition of capabilities to calculate measures with respect to the Doctor/Patient encounter and to produce reports of these calculations and submitting the calculations to other systems (EDI). 
• Making changes to user interface and database to accommodate the above requirements. 
• The project needs to be completed and tested with a certifying governmental body in order to receive a certification seal.
