Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer - Permanent

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior BI Developer to join our client in Richardson TX.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provides expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate and analyze data Designs and builds cubes using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) based on user needs and business requirements
- Analyzes and problem-solve issues.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of performance management and tuning techniques for Analysis Services Solutions.
- Performs data modelling, database design, metadata management and producing technical specifications and documentations developing reports to support business analysis to
- Executive Team Interacts with internal business customers to define requirements and design technical solutions to meet requirements for Business Intelligence solutions.
- Identifies problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data, translating business requirements into Technical Solutions Analyzes reports of data duplication or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication, implementing a best practice approach to the full life cycle management (requirements, build, deploy, support) of the Microsoft Business Intelligence toolset.
- Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets, integrating
- Analysis Services cubes into an existing heterogeneous BI landscape.
- Works with Team to build ETL load programs to populate SSAS cubes from several data sources

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline required
- Thorough understanding of Business Intelligence and data warehousing concepts
- Five (5) plus years of experience building Business Intelligence and data warehousing solutions
- Five (5) plus years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis services, Multidimensional cubes and expressions (MDX)
- Three (3) years of experience with Front End reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services
- Expertise using MS Office, MS Project, Visio and other PC software as needed
- Broad understanding of data warehouse concepts
- Understanding of core technology platforms or database technology capabilities
- Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies
- Solid understanding of the capabilities and limitations of technology
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable dealing with large span of people from executive management to business analysts; strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
- Advanced knowledge of database query & manipulation tools and techniques
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong process flow and diagramming skills
- Strong communication skills-verbal, written, listening and presentation.
- Strong task/time management skills

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Project management experience preferred
- Project management experience is a huge plus but not required.
