The Media Network Sales Associate Manager position can be located in either Minneapolis or Chicago.

The Best Buy Media Network is a small, energetic, fast paced startup focused on leveraging the media assets owned by Best Buy. We provide great programming to our customers and employees, and customized advertising opportunities to companies who want to reach our highly valuable audience.

We are looking for a Marketing Associate Manager - Media Network Sales Manager who is an organized self-starter, is experienced in media sales and negotiation, has exemplary written and verbal communication skills, and has a proven track record with media relationships.

In this role you will be responsible for advertising sales efforts related to the Best Buy Media Network channels. These channels include both in store screens like the HD Wall and department-specific channels, as well as online ad placements on Bestbuy.com and BestBuy mobile.

Duties will include strategic sales planning, responding to RFPs, identifying and contacting sales leads, following up through the life of a proposal/campaign, and tracking the P&L for the network. This position will also own relationships with internal cross-functional teams, such as merchants, marketing, and events, as well as external partners, such as vendors/clients and advertising agencies.

This position will report to the Director of the Media Network Business.

Basic Qualifications:

At least 4 or more years overall experience in Retail/Media/Marketing area

At least 2 or more years' experience in Media (multi-channel and digital) or outside sales with media experience or as a marketing merchant

At least 2 or more years vendor negotiation experience OR media agency buying/sales

At least 1 or more years budgeting experience and P&L management experience

Must be able to travel 50% of the time


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred

At least 3 or more years' experience in media sales
