Department Background:

Capital One is a strategy led company and its Strategy Group engages on ultra-high impact issues to drive the entire company's performance. The group focuses on formulating enduring and profitable growth and value enhancement strategies and then working within the business to ensure results.

The Customer Experience Metrics Program (within the Strategy Group) was formed by CEO mandate to provide consistent measurement of customer experience to inform business decisions. Team members function as strategy analysts with deep expertise on customer relationship insight for an expanding list of business groups. They also support an increasingly ubiquitous need to understand the customer.

Job Description:

A successful candidate will be able to:

- Collaborate with different business units and research managers to shape data collection and analysis to the business needs
- Quickly assimilate new statistical & analytic techniques and apply them to customer survey data and internal performance data
- Communicate analytic insights and results in a compelling manner to influence the customer experience agenda

Responsibilities:

- Develop and communicate analyses that meet and/or anticipate business Customer Experience information needs
- Identify game changing opportunities for value generation through customer experience
- Define and support standardization of analytic methods
- Influence the quality of existing and new Customer Experience study designs

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree with preferred major in statistics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics or other quantitative major
- At least two years experience in Business Analysis and/or Strategy Consulting in the financial industry
- Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Teradata SQL, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in cross functional teams
- Ability to identify and solve problems independently in a constantly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and software including SAS, Treenet and CART
- Experience influencing decision making across business units or functional teams
- Experience with analysis of customer survey data
- Consulting and/or survey design experience
