Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
A Warehouse employee is responsible for truck loading and/or stocking the delivery routes in the warehouse. An employee in the Warehouse performs a variety of loading and stocking assignments and requires seasonal availability for a seven day workweek (8-13 hours per day) and ability to work any shift. The work is performed indoors in ambient weather conditions, which fluctuate in temperature extremes from 32 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Key Duties & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures, MPS, and Philosophy.
- Ensure loads are complete per documentation and that they are on the correct delivery vehicle in the proper order.
- Secure loads in proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.
- Work in a team environment.
- Ensure Warehouse is stocked according to route and track down product that is missing.
- Adhere to safety procedures as outlined in the Illness & Injury Prevention Program and the Employee Handbook.
- Create and execute MPS plans, meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS; reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.
- Incorporate Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guide and motivate others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous experience in warehouse environment, particularly window manufacturing preferred.
- Glass handling and/or glass knowledge a plus.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
- Sufficient literacy to read and understand window labels and route codes.
- Ability to use hand held scanning unit.
- Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
- Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.
- Ability to work in, and promote, a team environment.

PHYSICAL Requirements:
- Required to repetitively lift up to 75 lbs. Required to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
- Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.
- Hand dexterity and strength.
- Overtime may be required, including some weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work performed in a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
- Hearing protection and safety glasses required, additional safety equipment provided based on specific job.
- Work surfaces are primarily concrete with anti-fatigue mats provided where feasible. Personnel will stand while performing their respective job functions, for up to 13 hours a day.
- Employee is regularly exposed to vibration.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electric shock.
- Noise level in work environment is usually loud.
