POSITION TITLE: Software Development Manager
PERMANENT: Full-time role, managing a team of 10-15 developers in two cities
LOCATION: San Diego, CA

Our client is an industry leader and a growing international corporation that is investing in its .NET development teams with the creation of this new position -- Software Development Manager. This is a true management role where you'll be directing the work of two teams of .NET developers, one based in San Diego and the other in Canada in the Eastern time zone.
You are the ideal candidate if you've managed .NET developers for at least 3 years and have hands-on full-stack and full-life cycle coding experience, and then also have a strong business mind and a proven track record of keeping your eyes on the big picture and not letting your team get lost in the weeds. This is a role with obvious career advancement for a top performer and where you'll be working alongside the PMO, QA team, DBA team and business stakeholders.
-- 3+ years employee management experience of .NET developers.
-- 6+ years hands-on full-stack and full-life cycle .NET development experience in a production environment (ASP.NET, SQL Server, C#, TFS, etc.).
-- Experience on multiple platforms is a must, including Web apps and mobile apps.
-- 3+ years delegating responsibilities and setting priorities to achieve deliverables.
-- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
-- 4+ years working collaboratively with various departments of developers, designers, testers and planners to achieve business goals.
-- 2+ years translating business requirements into technical requirements and translating high-level and low-level designs for team needs.
-- Demonstrate strong understanding of development methodologies and principles.
-- Strong attention to detail.
-- Willingness and ability to take responsibility to find short-term and long-term solutions that benefit multiple teams.
-- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
