Description

Key Role:
Assist ships in developing sound engineering practices and good material condition which leads to successful Inspection Surveys (INSURVs), Light off Assessments (LOAs), and Equipment Operational Capabilities (EOCs). Lead one of five ERAT teams, including diesel, steam, gas turbine, and MCM and provides diesel, gas turmine, or steam propulsion expertise. Provide sailor centric deck plate training assessments, reporting, analysis, recommendations, fixes and post-action reporting with crews as they prepare for major evolutions, certifications, and inspections. Identify performance, operational weaknesses through an assessment, and then provide training to correct those identified weaknesses and improve operational readiness for Dock Landing Ships (LSDs), Amphibious Transport Docks (LPD-17s), Mine Counter Measure Ships (MCMs), Guided Missile Destroyers (DDGs), Guided Missile Cruisers (CGs), Guided Missile Frigates (FFGs), General Purpose Assault Ships (LHAs), Multiple Purpose Assault Ships (LHDs), Amphibious Command Ships (LCCs), and Amphibious Transport Docks (LPD-4s) class crews. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:-10+ years of experience with supervisory in analyses, information systems, and implementation of technical projects similar to those indicated in the PWS-Experience with supervisory main propulsion-Experience with Navy surface ship maintenance processes-Experience as shipboard Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) on multiple ships-Experience in Navy Ship main propulsion engineering-Experience with maintenance training staff, including Immediate Superior in Charge (ISIC), Type Commander (TYCOM), or Afloat Training Group-Experience with maintenance staff-Knowledge of Navy ship depot level maintenance process, theory, and working of surface ship maintenance process-Secret clearance-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:-Surface Warfare Officer or Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS)-Diesel, Gas Turbine, or Steam Generating Propulsion Inspector

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
