Okta Support Engineer - Contract position. (W-2 basis only. Please no corp-corp or 1099 candidates)

Sony Interactive Entertainment is searching for a highly competent and experienced candidate who has exceptional skills in migrating applications to SAML2.0 authentication tool (using Okta as IDaaS). Ideal candidate is familiar with Okta suite of products, can collaborate with engineers and developers, and execute on agreed timelines

Key Responsibilities:

. Work with various engineering teams to quickly enable SSO for POCs or production enforcing SAML2.0

. Work with IDaaS/Okta team to configure and update tools used by engineering and development teams

. Work closely with development and engineering staff to provide immediate support and issue resolution with a DevOps mindset.

. Rollout device management tool

. Rollout MFA tool

. Collaborate with Identity and Access Management team on RBAC implementation

. Support application deployments, building new systems and upgrading and patching existing ones.

. Scripting to ensure IT processes and environment builds are automated

. Maintain optimization of environments including upgrades, performance monitoring and system audit tasks

. Create and maintain documentation of environment design, configuration and workflow

. Support dev/engineering teams alongside other IT DevOps staff

. Perform root cause analysis on persistent or major software & application related problems

. Provide accurate timelines for specific tasks assigned

. Provide end-user support as required

. Offer mentorship to fellow team members and colleagues

. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

. Participate in on call rotation and respond to emergencies 7/24/365

. Travel as needed for projects or support (5-10%)

Job Requirements:

. 4+ years experience in IT Systems Engineering or demonstration of skills in your current role that are applicable to this job

. 2+ years Experience working with IDaaS required

. Experience migrating and supporting multiple services from basic authentication to SAML2.0 authentication

. Experience deploying mobile device management solutions

. Strong knowledge of life cycle management, role based access control, identity and access management tools

. In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Active Directory (AD), Universal Directory, LDAP, LAN/WAN topology, IT processes and procedures, security required.

. Must possess a strong ability to document standards

. Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, YAML, SQL, HTML, XML strongly desired.

. Scrum/agile experience preferred

. Scripting in Windows PowerShell experience preferred

. Exceptional team work as well as being able to work under own initiative are highly desired

. Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision

. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

. Ability to quickly learn new technologies

. Strong communication as this person will be the support function for the Okta platform for all of North America


. S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience preferred

. Technical certifications preferred
