Job Description:
- Book revenue related journal entries for customer contracts on a monthly basis based on guidance from Sr. Technical Accountant
- Liaise with business units and other internal accounting functions to ensure revenue is reported timely and accurately.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Provide detailed monthly revenue reporting and analysis.
-Help and support other accounting groups with revenue related questions.
-Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial projects as requested.
-Partner with billing team to optimize the quote to cash process
Job Requirements::
-General knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition demonstrating solid accounting and technical skills with a strong desire to be trained as a technical revenue expert.
- Possess strong problem solving, analytical, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
-Possess strong computer skills, such as an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
-Hands on experience using an enterprise level financial system software, such as Oracle.
-Showing competencies in taking initiative, working independently or as part of a team and meeting tight deadlines.
-Displays strong communication skills.
Background Requirements:
- Requires an undergraduate degree in Accounting.
- 2+ years' experience working in an Accounting environment, preferably Big 4 CPA firm or comparable industry experience in a revenue related role.
- CPA certification is a plus.
