What you need for this position:
- Proven ability to develop leading edge web technologies (HTML5, WebSockets, JavaScript, PHP, noSQL, MySQL) and new to the world approaches when necessary
- Experience managing engineering teams of 10 or more
- SaaS product experience
- PHP development, including leveraging frameworks (YII, Zend framework, etc.)
- JavaScript development, including leveraging frameworks (JQuery, ExtJS, Dojo)
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, JSON, XML, SVN, GIT
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- BS/MS degree
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the application development organization including technical direction and project management
- Work closely with product management, QA teams and IT Operations
- Act as point of contact throughout the release cycle up to and including deployments
- Oversea feature development in PHP/SQL/JavaScript and maintain an intimate knowledge of the code
- Work with the release manager to enhance continuous test and build infrastructure and processes
- Own the quality of the product releases and release process
- Make staffing, compensation, budget, and department morale decisions
