The Regional HR Generalist (Employee Resource Leader) is the first point of contact for managers and employees in GE P&W locations in California & Western US, providing advice, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. This role will support 700+ employees in multiple functions and GE P&W locations and report into the HR Manager. Essential Responsibilities: The role is critical in executing region-wide initiatives, providing available and responsive internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. In addition, in this role you will:

  • Provide support and guidance to multiple HR Business Partners, managers and employees in P&W across California and the Western US with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management and workplace investigations
  • Responsible for AAP for P & W sites with more than 50 employees.
  • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues
  • Partner with HRMs and O&TD professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies
  • Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated & resolved
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
  • Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance
  • Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like EMS, Session C, Salary Planning and New Employee Orientation
  • Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary action
  • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
  • Complete HR transactions delegated from remote HRMs outside of the region
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
  • Lead other HR projects as necessary Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous Human Resources Operations, Specialist, or generalist experience

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel 30% or as needed to multiple sites in California/Western US Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Degree in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience dealing with employee relations issues in California

  • Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Not afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved in details

  • Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience, needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers/colleagues
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented (especially with regard to effectively managing and documenting employee relations issues and investigations)
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
