Contingent Workforce Program Analyst Intern

About the Role and Responsibilities

About the Role:

The McAfee Talent on Demand program is a one-stop end-to-end program for the engagement of contractors, consultants, temporary workers and SOW-based service providers. We help McAfee managers locate a qualified resource for their need at the right price to support innovation and speed to market.

Key Responsibilities:

- There are a number of key initiatives going on in the program that an intern could work on depending on his or her skills and interest:
- Supplier Performance Management - work with McAfee's MSP on supplier scorecarding project to review the relative quality, competitiveness, and ease of doing business of McAfee's preferred supply base,
- Business Process Analysis - map an end-to-end process for a key business unit, conduct a gap analysis and develop and implementation plan to address identified gaps.
- IT Systems Integration Project Management - work with McAfee IT and external software provider to document key configurations, design and execute user acceptance testing.
- Change leadership - work with McAfee's outsourced service provider to improve our 2013 communications plan and implement target communications to improve change management and program adoption. May work with HR Learning and Development team on training options.
- Invoice Auditing and Process Improvement - Collect and document data on current invoicing process, work with cross-functional team to document and prioritize possible process improvements, help execute plan to make target improvements.
- Metrics/Reporting - work with cross-functional team and service provider to develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Review existing metrics and proposed new metrics as well as proposed service level agreement. Develop reports and reporting process for key internal customers.

Additionally, the CW Program Analyst will help support the ongoing operation of the program, including without limitation:

- responding to resource manager questions about the External Workforce Policy or program details,
- teaming with our service providers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues,
- working with suppliers to respond to inquiries or resolve disputes, and
- analyzing data and make recommendations on process issues.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

- Candidate for this internship must have the following qualifications:
- 2-4 years college level experience;
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English; professional communication style;
- Excellent MS Word and Excel skills;
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Focus qualifications: candidate should have one or more of the following:
- Focus on business process analysis - familiarity with process mapping, Lean/Six Sigma, and continuous process improvement
- Focus on HR processes - familiarity with HR process, particularly talent acquisition and HR policy and compliance management.
- Focus on procurement - familiarity withi procurement processes, supplier management, competitive bid process and contracts management.

Preferred:

- A passion for problem-solving,
- Experience influencing others to reach consensus as part of a project team
- Comfort with critical conversations
