Information Architect - Human Computer Interaction, Information Information Architect Based in San Jose, CA, we are a leading online real estate company and we are hiring! We are seeking the talent of an Information Architect to join our User Design tea. This team is responsible for our flagship site. The person will visualize and document the structure of interactive experiences for a variety of projects and initiatives including both websites and mobile applications.

Job duties of this role include:

Diagram site architectures and user interfaces.
Employs user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications including site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and related documentation.
Works closely with product management to clarify and define business requirements as they apply to the user interface content.
Works closely with user experience research to translate findings from usability studies, surveys, etc. into improved user experiences. Makes design decisions driven by research when appropriate but also has a keen sense of what will work well.
Appreciates critical feedback (both giving and receiving) and seeks it out in reviews with peers, stakeholders and research. Really listens to the feedback and can balance multiple, sometimes conflicting, inputs when arriving at a final design.
Contributes to the creation, adoption and improvement of Move, Inc. design patterns and guidelines and their consistent deployment across various website properties.

Education, Skills and Experience:

Degree in Human Computer Interaction (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience designing successful interactive websites/applications as a key member of a user experience team.
Expert level understanding of information architecture, interaction design, user experience, and content strategy
Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript concepts and modern browser capabilities. Other coding skills not required but considered a plus.
Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices, visual trends and emerging web technologies.
Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail.
Experience with collaborative thinking and decision-making with and interdisciplinary, open-minded approach to problem-solving
A sense of humor and passion for adventure is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

IA portfolio needs to show applied knowledge of usability, user-centered design, and content strategy.
IA portfolio should show strong capacity for both logical and creative thinking displaying attention to detail in every aspect.
