The Time Warner Cable Carolina region currently seeks a Telesales Report Specialist
for our Marketing & Sales Department in West Columbia, SC. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Position Summary
The Telesales Report Specialist will be responsible for production of report generation and distribution to a wide audience on multiple levels. Responsibilities include creating, formatting, analysing and distributing of reports for the Telesales team for the different business segments within region (to include, but not limited to Inbound, Outbound and Vendors). The position will assist in planning, designing, and implementing reporting tools. These activities involves interaction with development teams and Telesales management to determine system access requirements, service codes, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases. The specialist will work with multiple sources to obtain the data required for report generation which may include working with and maintaining several data tables and business rules. They will evaluate findings, using knowledge of workflow and operating practices. The specialist will have accountability for accuracy in the reports generated was well as an understanding of the contents to support the documentation. This position works under general supervision and must be able to work independently.
Essential Job Functions:
- Generate and distribute regularly scheduled and non-scheduled (ad hoc) reports on work order accuracy and sales metric processes eg orders created and installed) and other performance metrics
- Ensure accuracy on production reports created by understanding the sources of data from related areas and being able to support the results
- Ensures a high degree of data integrity into reporting tools as decisions are made based upon report content
- Analyzes data, makes recommendations, and provides statistical support to Telesales management as needed
- Performs queries in ICOMS billing system and Cognos to extract required data
- Uses advanced statistical formulas and programming in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, and other relationship database applications to create specialized reports as required
- Provides support to IT for all joint technical projects pertaining to statistical reporting
- Completes other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Prior related experience in reporting, database and data interpretation is a plus
- Prior experience in administrative support is a plus
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong business analysis, process, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to establish a plan and execute to completion
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and juggle competing priorities
- Call Center exposure is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with MS Access desirable
- Knowledge of scheduling processes and automated software such as eWFM, RTA, CMS preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree and/or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate well through verbal and written correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and management of the organization
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Basic computer knowledge, with advance proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required
- Knowledge of designing and running queries in a ICOMS Billing environment and Cognos
- Must be able to operate in a fast-Telesales environment, be self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team, and successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously
