We are currently seeking a Software Deployment Engineer who will develop software packages with Flexera InstallShield. The developer may be involved with Windows OS installation, software production and in the selection of PC hardware used in OE products.
Software deployment entails designing, writing, debugging and testing sophisticated installation programs. Engineer will interact with R&D engineers and manufacturing personnel.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, and will possess many, if not all, of the following skills: knowledge of Flexera InstallShield, Windows Installer, C#/Visual C++/Visual Basic 6, MS Access, PC hardware and general knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Recent college graduates could be considered. This is a full-time, corporate position.
What you need for this position:
- Bachelor†s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
- C#, C++, VB development skills
- Knowledge of MS Access and relational database design
- Knowledge of PC Hardware
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexera InstallShield
- Windows Installer
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and maintain software deployment programs using Flexera InstallShield and other authoring tools.
- Perform software and product testing to validate product requirements.
- Author test procedures, reports and installation instructions.
- Handle quality assurance problems.
- Assist in the selection process of PC hardware used in OE products
