What's the job?
We create tools to assist the developers and QA teams to efficiently do their job. You'll do back up operations on development servers, assist developers in testing and debugging source control. You are the bridge between the Systems and the Development team.
- Application tuning
- Writing Scripts to Automate processes
- Architect solutions for infrastructure
- 70% Linux Systems Administration
- 30% Scripting
- Setting up servers
What you need for this position:
You should have a strong Scripting background, ideally with Python, but PHP, Ruby, or Perl is fine
- Service Administration including: Apache, load balancing (SMTP, HTTP, SSA, DNS, NFS)
- Installing, Configuring and supporting a LAMP stack
- Linux tools (tcpdump, nc, awk, sed, grep, tar, top, sar, syslog, df, du, ps, cron)
- The ability to find bottlenecks (disk, CPUm memory)

- Amazon Web Services knowledge (AWS)
- Drupal, WordPress or another Opensource CMS
- Node.JS
- Puppet
- Chef
- Git
- Jira
- Jenkins
- Apache/MySQL Performance tuning
- Perl, BASH, PHP, GNU
- Security best practices
- Postfix
- Understand BIND format
