Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into formal detailed technical specifications that can be passed to development staff for implementation.
Ensure that all software constructed meets technical requirements, software can be efficiently maintained, meets the data warehousing development standards established by XL, and meets quality assurance standards established by the business and I.S.
* Provide development effort estimates and report work progress/status to the supervisor.
* Perform hands-on development and administration using XL's data warehousing toolsets: Informatica 8.x, Autosys, SQL Server 2008.
* Support QA/UAT process and defect resolution.
* Provide support to the Production Support team, including but not limited to handling business and user inquires about data and processes.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field of study and 5 years hands-on development experience on data warehousing projects using Informatica 8.x, 9.x, Autosys, and SQL Server 2008, including 2 years experience in creating technical specification designs for Informatica 8.x routines. Requires SQL skills. Requires 2 full data warehouse lifecycle implementations. Requires experience with RDBMS concepts and data modeling. Requires experience in source to target Matrix and experience working with offshore developers. Requires experience in the design and implementation of Star and Snowflake schemas concepts using SQL server, and experience in the design of database objects (tables, views, indexed views, store procedures, functions, table partitioning, file groups). Requires experience in the design and implementation of reusable components using Informatica Powercenter tool. Requires experience in the creation and implementation of performance improvement techniques using Informatica Powercenter tool and SQL server. Requires experience in assessing feasibility and estimation for technical components and release management.
