Role Summary/Purpose: GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.In this role, you will install and repair electrical power cable at the well site and in the repair shop and assists in the installation and retrieval of electrical submersible pumps.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:
Gather tools and supplies to be used at worksite appropriate for job to be performed
Load and transport spooling cable to and from job sites; unload and position appropriately
Remove banding upon retrieval of cable and install bands upon installation
Assist Field Service Technician and rig hands in the retrieval and installation of submersible equipment
May assist in shop to repair and prepare cable by searching and accurately marking breaks in cable
Utilize automatic test equipment and hand held portable meters to determine fitness of cable for use
Perform routine preventive maintenance on Company vehicle and spooling trailer and maintain required logs completely and accurately to comply with DOT regulatory requirements
Comply with Company policy and procedures, whether written or communicated verbally, including the instructions and directions from individuals in direct supervisory positions Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma/GED
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a valid driver's license
Possess or obtain a valid CDL within 90 days of employment
Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required
