We want Partners to recommend Microsoft technology as the clear choice for their customers not only for the software solutions, but also because of the quality of the services GPS delivers to partners.

The Partner Technical Consultant (PTC) plays an essential role in achieving this vision - the PTC role focuses on all Partner aspects within the Partner Life Cycle by delivering a variety of reactive and proactive advisory services.

There Partner Technical Service offerings enable Partners to building new skills, supporting partners to accelerate their sales cycle and by helping partners to design, develop and deploy customer solutions with Microsoft Technology.

Partner Technical Consultants offer a strong technical solution knowledge to enable Partners building new skills, in supporting partners to accelerate their sales cycle and by helping partners to design, develop and deploy customer solutions based on Microsoft Technology. The Partner Technical Consultant role is primarily technical with a strong Solution based focus. However, PTC's require the soft- and communication skills to quickly understand and verify the Partner request, discuss technical information and solutions, as well as to identify all required information of the Partner/Customer solution.

Compared to field based Services roles, Global Partner Services Partner Technical Consultants deliver partner services remotely or within the local Microsoft premises to Partners. Global Partner Service organization does not provide on-site support at this time. In addition, Solution-oriented services, with a strong technical orientation are the primary focus areas. Technical solution skills combined with an understanding of Microsoft methodologies and a good Partner Ecosystem understanding will establish a trusted relationship and provide a unique value to Microsoft Partners.

With increased competency requirements to join the MPN program, deeper and specialized solution knowledge are required to satisfy partner needs, Cloud based solutions will provide a new variety of opportunities which will impact all technical solution areas, as well.
In line with MPN Microsoft Partner Network changes, Partner Technical Services will help to increase our Partner's Loyalty and technical capabilities, this will enable them to be more successful in all areas of the project life cycle. By providing proactive services like Webinars, Practice Accelerators and Partner Days, Partner Technical Consultants play an important role in driving partner readiness and the development of new partner practices.

Professional Training and Certification

Current Microsoft Technical Certification(s)
- MCM Microsoft Certified Master
- MCA Microsoft Certified Architect
- CITA-P Certified IT Architect -Professional
- AOGEA Open Group Enterprise Architects
- CompTIA CTT + Virtual Classroom Trainer
- Recommended: ITIL V3 Service Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Qualifications
- Advanced technical- and business knowledge, enhanced with an excellent market understanding within minimum one IO Capability or multiple IO Workload Areas and all related Microsoft Technology(ies): Core IO and or BPIO
- Providing a high degree of insight on Features and Solution components, and Best Practices, proven thru Technical Certifications and market experience
- Architecture level of knowledge about how a solution/technology is designed to be deployed/migrated & complex (not the simple environment) case studies
- Proven experience and knowledge in minimum one competitive solution area
- Ability to provide in depth solutions, across an IO Capability/Workload to support demonstrations and architectural design discussions with partners.
- Ability to conduct excellent workshops\tech-talk sessions with partners on supportability reviews\code samples\Best practices\Competitive Product Comparisons
- Extensive Hands-on project and market experience, delivering Customer/Partner technical advice, or development, within required IO area.
- Demonstrated passion for Microsoft solutions and technologies (eg Blog)

Professional Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Very Good verbal and written communication skills in English, for global collaboration and the ability to consume international readiness material and standard documentations about Microsoft solutions
- Strong ability to confidently deliver advice and solution guidance in 1:1 and 1:many (Webinars) scenarios
- Possess strong Active Listening skills
- Strong ability to analyze and qualify (scoping & probing) partner challenges and their end customer business requirements
- Capable of building and sustaining solid transactional relationships to be recognized as trusted advisor
- Systematic and organized, with the strong ability to effectively prioritize and balance various workloads
- Self-driven with a strong team attitude

Required Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, Application Architectures, Business Information Management, Computer Engineering.
- Advanced technical- and business knowledge, enhanced with an excellent market understanding within minimum one IO Capability or multiple IO Workload Areas and all related Microsoft Technology(ies): Core IO or BPIO
- Excellent communications written and verbal skills/English + Portuguese

Preferred Basic Qualifications
