Role Overview:

This position monitors various Construction and Inspection activities and aids the PM and Project Engineers in directing and coordinating the Inspector's activities. The Quality Package Lead is responsible to ensure that the Welding, Civil and E&I Inspectors understand and have access to the project's requirements in the form of drawings, specifications, weld procedures etc. While this role is posted onsite and works with the Construction Management team, it reports independently to the Facilities Quality Assurance Manager, through the QA/QC Area Lead.

This position performs and documents regular on-site QA surveillance audits to ensure compliance of the contractor and the Project's construction staff are meeting plans and procedures. The role participates in quality assurance audits performed by the QA Audit team. Follows up on action taken in response to audit findings to ensure adequacy of completed corrective actions. Reviews and reports on selected engineering, procurement, and construction documents to assure the inclusion of applicable quality requirements. Reviews and reports on quality documentation of components or assemblies for conformance to specification and quality requirements. Participants in the review of selected quality-related procedures and manuals. Reviews and comments on selected quality control inspection plans. Prepares quality assurance audit checklists. Ensures compliance with approved processes and procedures.
