ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively involved in the development and execution of long-term strategic planning, annual planning and short-term planning in coordination with OSP management team; supporting the profitable growth of OSP.
Directly manage the operations managers responsible for metal fabrication, weld, product coatings, assembly, shipping receiving, service parts, manufacturing engineering and facilities management.
Work closely with product management personnel and finance to develop appropriate manufacturing strategies.
Focus on safety, operational output, productivity, on-time delivery performance, and the quality of OSP products.
Actively support the drive for accurate data as a means to improve the company's decision making process and further improve scheduling tools.
Provide support and leadership to the operational organization in support of established operational goals and our to becoming an Employer of Choice.
Manage staff, preparing and monitoring work schedules and assigning specific duties.to support the company's goals.
Direct and coordinate operational financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Provide leadership in the elimination of waste throughout the organization with the implementation of the PALFINGER PPS system and other appropriate methods.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree (MBA Preferred)
7-10 years operations management in a manufacturing organization
Must have union experience
Track record in successful implementation of lean manufacturing/5S and productivity improvement initiatives
Experience in financial statement analysis
Labor relations/negotiation experience a plus.
Ability to travel within and occasional travel to Europe.
