Deployment Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Deployment Technician to join our client in the Washington, DC. area.

Job Responsibilities:
- Replacement of retired Lenovo desktop and laptop equipment with refreshed Lenovo desktop and laptop equipment.
- Staging of desktop and laptops with a customer standard image including Windows 7 and Office 2010.
- Deployment Technician will be responsible for interfacing with users.
- Visit user workspace, backup locally stored user data, retire old equipment, deploy new equipment, and restore user data per Work Orders.
- Perform work based on Work Orders provided by device or client location.
- Record asset information for retired and newly deployed hardware.
- Validate installation through defined quality assurance procedures.
- Fill-in, review, and turn-in tracking documents on a daily/weekly basis.
- Follow established and tested process and procedures established by the customer.
- Prepared retired hardware for disposal per customer specification.
- Packaging, labeling, and shipping equipment for offsite deployment.
- Work in a team environment while also being able to work alone.

Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher.
- Two (2) years of work experience especially in the field of computer support.
- Excellent verbal and written Communication.
- Excellent Customer service skills "Can do" attitude.
- Reliable, responsible, consistent and timely attendance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions, self-motivated.
- Proficient in operation and navigation of desktop computers and laptops computers.

Preferred Job Skills/Certifications/Knowledge:
- Having prior experience in desktop H/W or S/W support, or PC break-fix environment, or enterprise deployment experience would be a plus, but not a requirement for position.
- Windows Vista/Win 7, Lotus Notes, Office 2010 experience.
- Experience with PC Imaging, staging, troubleshooting PC OS and Hardware issues.
- Can assemble and configure typical equipment configurations for PCs or laptops.
- Can do PC or network installations, de-installs and re-installs of PCs and printers.
- Can perform routine component level repairs of PC workstations, printers and digital senders.
- Ability to install a client's standard/core software packages and new releases of these packages as instructed in written guidelines.
