As the champion of SharePoint content replication solutions, the Product Marketer will drive positioning, demand and sales enablement programs. The Product Marketer will offer in-depth knowledge of buyer personas and buying process to help customers understand the value of our products and guide the sales team to successfully sell products. The Product Marketer is responsible for defining the go-to-marketing strategy including segmentation, positioning, pricing and packaging. The product marketer will work closely with product management, marketing and sales to launch products, create sales enablement and marketing tools, train the sales force and design marketing campaigns.
Success in this role requires self-directed ability to develop expertise in why and how customers buy products. This is a critical role with high degree of visibility, impact and ownership. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
What you will be doing:
• Document buyer personas and the buying process through customer meetings and interviews
• Define the Go-to-Market strategy including solution justification, market sizing, target segments, pricing, packaging, and positioning.
• Develop messaging †pain points, value proposition and benefits - to be used in sales and marketing tools.
• Coordinate product launch processes, including company-wide launch activities and planning.
• Create and maintain sales and marketing tools including website content, whitepapers, RFI/RFQ database, collateral and presentations.
• Conduct regular sales training and ensure sales is fully equipped to successfully sell products.
• Work with the Demand Generation and Marketing Communications teams to design and execute awareness programs and lead generation campaigns.
• Evangelize product and solution in the market place via social media, blogs, contributed articles and speaking engagements.
• Conduct Win/Loss analysis with customers and drive feedback through the rest of the company.
• Review and analyze product line goals and Lead-to-Revenue KPIs on an on-going basis.
• Support key sales opportunities by supporting RFI/RFP responses, customer meetings and sales strategy.
• Develop competitive analysis at both the product and company/solution level
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers.
What you need for this position:
• 5+ years of enterprise software product marketing experience.
• Content Management, Collaboration software or SharePoint experience a plus.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills, writing samples required
• Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience
• High degree of ownership and get-it-done attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple, cross-functional projects to completion simultaneously.
• Ability to lead through influence
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven team player
• Bachelors in Computer Science or other related field. Degree in business and marketing a plus.
