Responsibilities may include:
- Gather and understand business needs;
- Develop/maintain project management process, based upon PMI framework, that will be used to initiate, execute, and control projects;
- Develop/maintain a tracking process to track initiatives and other tasks across the organization;
- Manage IT projects as required;
- Determine, document, and prioritize requirements from the business and present these requirements in a manner that is agreeable, measurable, and flexible;
- Create and/or update strategy documentation, consistent with the existing organization strategic plan, which will help the organization reach its goals and achieve higher levels of efficiency;
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate requirement gathering sessions with the business to identify and drive complete requirements;
- Develop/update IT Policy; and
- Provide timely responses to all customer requests.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following:
- B.S./B.A. Management Information Systems or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of experience with IT business analyses and system/application deployment or minimum of 12 years relevant experience with no degree;
- Strong understanding of the role of IT in business and also the ability to identify business needs and link these needs to relevant IT solutions;
- Strong project management skills;
- Strong understanding of process and possess the ability to leverage various frameworks to help the organization to operate more efficiently.
- Proficient understanding of common Microsoft Office tools (eg, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Internet Explorer, and Visio) and an expert user in at least two of the Microsoft Office tools;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills;
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people will understand;
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology Federal laws, guidelines, and industry best practices;
- Knowledge of IT Governance and operations;
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture at varying levels of maturity;
- Maintains attention to detail while multi-tasking; and
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Superior verbal and writing skills as well as have strong communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent and concise analytical and problem solving skills;
- Must be able to learn new concepts quickly;
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S./MA. degree in a related to business and/or information technology;
- Professional certifications (ie, PMP, CISSP, etc.);
- Project Management experience; and
- General knowledge of SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010.
