The role will assist with monthly reporting which ultimately is shared with senior management. This will include production of monthly business review, quarterly business reviews with goal of producing timely, accurate and informative content. This will include delivering value added metrics/analysis to support the business and ensure we can meet our financial objectives. The role will be involved in understanding our business performance and producing critical analysis to display key drivers of over/under performance. This will include recommendations and pursuing further insights to reach ultimate resolution.

This will role will be key business partners and support key strategic initiatives, analysis to aid the business in the short & long term. This includes ad-hoc projects, cost benefit analysis to assist the business on value creating initiatives.

Includes support for the business plan, strategic plan processes in terms of overall coordination, presentations, analysis and delivery of high value content.

Be a partner to Group & Voluntary, Dental & Vision management and a liaison across multiple functional areas

Deep knowledge in insurance industry in terms of both strong business and financial acumen.


Estimate a well-organized and efficient structure to flow financials into supporting documents for monthly forecast, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and annual plan

Deliver accurate and timely month-end results after month-end close, proactively investigate areas of concern and address them promptly with business partners

Partner with accounting, actuarial teams and operations to perform various ad-hoc analyzes to understand trends, leading business indicators and possible business, control issues with recommended solutions

Summarize financial findings in a concise manner with a keen understanding of downstream impact to forecast and business plan.

The expectation will be that this individual can serve as a thought leader for the team, Group Finance division and present solutions to solve complex business issues as well as driving execution. The expectation will be that this individual can serve as an appropriate delegate to attend meetings and represent the brand with strong knowledge, insights. In addition, it is expected that this individual will share knowledge, insights to team members and to other functions to ensure we share financial insights, perspective.

Ability to process complex data and turn it into actionable intelligence for senior management either directly or indirectly through coaching others on end deliverable.

MBA or equivalent Master's Degree in a quantitative field is highly preferred

Prior FP&A experience in a fast-paced, large organization is highly preferred

5 years of minimum experience in FP&A role within the insurance industry or a related function

Other Skills:

Strong financial acumen

Superior user of Excel, MS Access and high degree of comfort dealing with large

quantity of data

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to lead presentations

with management

. Demonstrated ability to establish excellent team-oriented interpersonal working relationships across multiple functions

. Demonstrated ability to working deadline oriented environment with multiple priorities

. A self-starter with an inquisitive mind
