Description

Key Role:
Support the design and development of an enterprise multi-modal biometrics storage and retrieval system. Administer and maintain development and test Oracle databases running on the Redhat Linux operating system. Apply knowledge of Fiber Channel networks. Interact with software developers and network engineers to design and optimize necessary database modifications. Work to optimize storage and search capabilities. Document all database design modifications, including applying patches and updates to database software, as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:-3+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator-2+ years of experience with supporting databases in UNIX and Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise-Experience with Oracle RDBMS 10g or higher-Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously-Secret clearance-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:-Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard or similar standby databases-Knowledge of SQL query performance tuning, SAN storage systems, database backup and recovery, VERITAS, and Oracle Networking

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
