Key Role:

Work in a group or independently with digital hardware circuits. Work in Booz Allen's laboratory to design and test digital circuits using components, including ARM processors, OMAP, miniature displays, wireless chipsets, and power management. Work with senior engineers to define circuit specifications and implement them in printed circuit board (PCB) layout, produce Gerber files, send out for PCB fabrication and assembly. Test, evaluate, and debug the assembled boards upon completion. Analyze test results and perform additional design spins, as necessary.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with digital and analog circuit design
-Experience with selecting new components, vendors, circuit design techniques, and SMD and SMT technologies
-Experience with digital circuit, PCB layout tools, and benchtop test and debugging
-Ability to be well versed in common digital design and PCB layout and routing practices
-Ability to work in groups and independently with minimal guidance-Ability to obtain a security clearance-AA or AS degree and 5+ years of experience with analog or digital circuit design and PCB layout or BS degree in EE and 1+ years of experience with analog or digital circuit design and PCB layout

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with RF circuits a plus-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent troubleshooting skills
